Club Alvi Mayorista, a subsidiary of SMU, has inaugurated a new store in Concón—its first in the commune and the fourth in the Valparaíso Region. The opening ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Concón, Freddy Ramírez, along with company executives.

The new store is located at Av. Concón Reñaca 3240 and spans 1,070 square meters. It features seven checkout lanes for customers and a team of 25 employees, more than half of whom are women.

“We are thrilled to arrive in Concón to supply and make life easier for the local business owners we serve, helping them strengthen their operations by offering an enhanced shopping experience supported by a wide assortment of products and greater convenience,” said Francisco Gaete, Manager of the Alvi format.

Alvi is the leading wholesale player in the industry, serving more than 123,000 business customers from the Coquimbo Region to Los Lagos. Its value proposition is based on offers specifically designed for corner stores, liquor shops, bakeries, and the entire HORECA channel, and the brand continues to grow. “We have increased our number of stores through the conversion of Mayorista 10 locations and the opening of new Alvi stores, which allowed us to grow from 32 stores in 2022 to 55 today. We expect to close 2025 with a total of 57 locations, including our southernmost store in Punta Arenas,” Gaete added.

In line with SMU’s recently announced 2026–2028 Strategic Plan, the next three years include five new Alvi openings and more than 29 store upgrades, along with initiatives to strengthen price and promotion competitiveness to deepen the chain’s leadership in the wholesale segment. Alvi also expects to increase its participation in e-commerce and direct sales from 6% to 15% over the next three years, and to further refine its efficient assortment strategy to lead every business customer segment.
